Early Childhood Classes


Pre Dance I (3-4yrs old)

This 45 min. class is designed for children who are able to participate independently without a guardian. This program will include the basics of ballet and tap in a fun and educational environment. Children will learn coordination, rhythm, balance and flexibility while moving to music.

Pre Dance II (4-5yrs old)

This 45 min. class provides a variety of learning skills in an educational and fun filled environment with dedicated instruction time for each discipline. In addition to teaching the beginning techniques of ballet, tap and jazz (see schedule) students learn important basics such as classroom etiquette, musical awareness, and expressing emotions through movement. This class is for the student who has previous dance experience/exposure to group class settings, but is not quite ready for leveled classes.


Level/Technique Classes

Level I Ballet

This popular 30 min. class is structured for those young dancers with beginner experience. Each class will include barre work, center floor technique and across the floor combinations as well as introduction to correct ballet terminology and definitions. This class is intended for those who are beginner through advanced beginner.

Level II Ballet

This 1 hour class is intended for those dancers who have mastered the elements of Level I Ballet and those with dance experience.  Dancers will continue to gain and understanding of barre work and exercises and should be able to execute barre exercises with little to no prompting.  This class will include barre, center floor work and across the floor variations. Terminology will continue to be discussed and memorized.


Level III Ballet

This one hour class is intended for the dancer with dance experience. Ballet is the foundation of all dance and each class will include barre work, center floor technique and across the floor combinations. This class is designed for team dancers, those who intend to pursue Ballet training or those who are interested in developing their ballet technique.  Students will be required to know and understand Ballet terminology as well as effectively demonstrate the techniques and variations taught in class.  Self-awareness, body and spatial awareness are key elements discussed and developed in this class. 

Level I Jazz

During this 45 min. class, students will enjoy expressing themselves through the art of dance in this fun and interactive class. This class is built on the basic movements learned in Pre- Dance classes and appropriate for the first-time dancer or dancers with 3 years or less of training in this dance genre. At this level, students will learn more challenging jazz skills through imagination activities and movement. Dancers will enjoy learning jazz choreography and terminology while dancing to fun and upbeat music.


Level II Jazz

This one hour class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well-rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. This class is intended for those who are Advanced Beginner through Intermediate.

Level III Jazz

This class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, conditioning, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well-rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.  This class is designed for the Intermediate through Beginner Advanced dancers with 3 or more years of Jazz dance experience. 


Level IV Jazz

This class builds upon all of the elements included in Level III Jazz while developing technique, increasing difficulty of variations and across the floor combinations.  This class is suited for those who have at least 3 years of Jazz experience and who are Intermediate-Advanced dancers.

Level I/II Tap

This popular 30 min. class is structured for those young dancers with beginner experience. Each class will include center warm up, center floor technique and across the floor combinations as well as introduction to correct tap terminology. This class is intended for those who are beginner through advanced beginner/intermediate.


Teen/Adult Tap

This tap class is designed for the tap student who is ready to learn many sound variations, rhythms and patterns. This class will teach you to think quickly on your feet while developing personal creative expression and musicality.


Additional Classes

Musical Theater I & II

This class will include singing, acting and basic dancing as students learn to express themselves and perform better on stage. No prior dance experience is required for Musical Theater I. Musical Theater II is designed for the intermediate/experienced dancer and performer. Students will experience singing, acting, improv, dancing and speaking roles in this dynamic class.

JR Hip Hop/Hip Hop

Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.


Lyrical/Jazz

Lyrical uses a combination of jazz and ballet skills to tell a story through movement using the lyrics of a song. This class will encourage students to develop their minds, bodies and emotions as they communicate through movement. This class focuses on proper body alignment while exploring both technical and creative aspects of dancing.

Modern/Improv

This class will allow the dancer to work with their peers while exploring their own movement and contact improv with others while also learning to create pieces of choreography and the necessary elements to include as a choreographer. Students will explore elements and history of Modern dance through Modern warm up and across the floor exercises.


Contemporary/Conditioning

This class focuses on concentrating on the technique of turns, leaps, extensions, power and floor combinations in both jazz and ballet as well as conditioning exercises each class to enhance and re-enforce techniques needed to improve upon turns, leaps and flexibility foundational elements of Contemporary dance.
